Power Skating & Hand Skills for PeeWee, Bantam & Older
Skating Dynamics Summer Power Skating
and Hand Skills program is designed for PeeWee,
Bantam and Older players interested in improving their skating, stickhandling,
passing and shooting skills. While skating and stickhandling remain
the most important skills for hockey success, the ability to pass and shoot
become essential to continued growth and development as a hockey player.
Each day is divided into hour and a half segments.
The first segment is dedicated towards proper skating technique while the
second segment focuses on stickhandling, passing and shooting techniques.
PeeWee, Bantam and Older players will focus
on refining their skating and hand skills in an up tempo, high intensity
environment. Players will increase their speed, efficiency, and skill
level allowing them to become a more complete hockey player.
Every skating skill required for top performance is taught.
Proper skating stance, forward and backward strides, edge control, crossovers
front and back, starts, stops, transition movements and the individual components
of each skill are taught on a progressive basis. Students learn the
proper position of their skates, legs, torso, shoulders, head, arms, and
stick for all skating elements and each stickhandling, passing and shooting
skill. Stickhandling, passing and shooting skills are taught on a
progressive basis allowing students to improve their puck control and fakes,
enhance their ability to give and receive better passes and to shoot quickly
with more power and accuracy.
Our goal is to have players improve their individual
skill level and have fun while doing it. If you want to improve your
skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting skills, there is no better
program than Skating Dynamics.

Evaluation of Skills
At the conclusion of each summer program, students will
receive a written evaluation for each of the skating, stickhandling, passing
and shooting skills taught as determined by the completed program.
Skating Dynamics does not promote competitiveness within the teaching sessions.
No student will be compared to any other student. Our written evaluations
are designed to provide each student and his/her parent/guardian with a
clear indication as to what skills need improvement. Remember, even
professionals require continued practice and coaching to improve and retain
their skills.
