Short Time Training Programs
Skating Dynamics offers Short Time Training Programs throughout the Fall,
Winter and Spring. These programs vary by location and are offered
in 4, 6, and 8 hour increments. Available programs include skating,
stickhandling, passing, shooting, checking, scoring and hand skills as well
as defensemen clinics.
"What Kinds Of Short Time Clinics Do You Offer?"
► Skating Clinics
Increase balance, power and speed!
Skating Dynamics Skating Clinics are designed to improve
each attending player's body awareness, agility, balance, edge control,
starts, stops, pivots, open ups, forward and backward stride and forward
and backward crossovers. Participants will notice a marked improvement
in their speed, balance, and efficiency.
► Stickhandling Clinics
Develop great hands with better setups, fakes and
escapes!
Skating Dynamics Stickhandling Clinics are designed to
improve each attending player's body, hand, stick and puck positioning along
with improved vision, awareness, puck control, dribbling skills, carrying
skills, setups, fakes, and escapes. Participants will notice a marked
improvement in their puck control, confidence and ability to finish their
moves.
► Passing Clinics
Develop game winning passing skills!
Skating Dynamics Passing Clinics are designed to improve
each attending player's body, hand, stick and puck positioning regarding
the skill of passing. Forehand, backhand, touch, saucer and
bump passes will be taught using both stationary and fast paced drills,
forcing participants to develop proper presentation and adjust to angles
and obstacles found in a game environment. Participants will notice
a marked improvement in their ability to give and receive a pass and will
enhance their on-ice vision.
► Scoring Clinics
Develop a scoring mentality with improved shooting
skills and offensive awareness!
Skating Dynamics Scoring Clinics are designed
to improve each attending player's offensive skills including proper shooting
techniques for wrist, snap, backhand and slap shot along with specialty
skills like one timers and deflections. Participants will notice a
marked improvement in the quickness of their release, shot power, accuracy
and their ability to generate and finish scoring opportunities.
► Defensemen Clinics
Develop into a complete "D" with an emphasis on defensive
and offensive situations!
Skating Dynamics Defensemen Clinics are designed
to improve each attending defensemen's overall skill level including skating,
footwork, gap control, defensive coverage through the neutral and defensive
zones, breakouts, and offensive skills including stickhandling, passing
and shooting specific to defensemen. Participants will notice a marked
improvement in their ability to play at both ends of the ice, becoming a
more complete and effective defensemen.
► Checking Clinics
Increase your ability to safely give and receive checks!
Skating Dynamics Checking Clinics are designed to improve
each attending player's checking skills including pinning, rub outs, containment,
shoulder and hip checks along with a better understanding of the role of
checking in hockey and the importance of skating, angling, body positioning,
and safety when giving and receiving checks. Participants will notice
a marked improvement in their confidence and know "when, where and how"
to perform a safe, well-timed and appropriate check.
► Team Skill Clinics
Develop your teams overall skill level with improved
skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting skills!
Skating Dynamics Team Skill Clinics are designed to improve
each attending players overall skill level related to skating, stickhandling,
passing, and shooting. These clinics combine speed, puck handling,
quick touch passing, and shooting using high tempo drills in a game atmosphere.
Participants will notice a marked improvement in their overall skill level,
a jump in their game speed and their ability to read and react positively
to sudden changes within a game.
